Was watching one of my all time fav TV- Desperate Housewives and am super moved by this scene so I shared... The script is too well written and goes straight to my heart... Definitely the mindset of a perfect husband. But how many of these men are there in this real world? And who is really that BIG enough to really do this? Let me know what you think... =)

Many at times while fighting for our dreams, we do things merely out of the repayments that we get. However, when we do something that we truly believe in, with our hearts and soul no less, magical moments happen and the returns suddenly don't seem to matter that much anymore...

Have been missing these magical moments as I grew older... Used to experience it more when I was in school... I may blame the society, but ultimately, I know I have the power to CREATE. Managed to feel some of it back thanks to my recent attempt in spiritual development, and also to the trio of amazing German kiddos!

So, gotta buck up and constantly remind myself to create actively, and lose myself no more as I near the passing of my quarter century duration on this Earth in less than 24hrs... Put the CHILD back into ME!!! =D

As promised, here is the special gift for my new wonderful little Germany friends! (haha... realised the sentance sounds weird coz I used too many adjectives, but there is really no one word to describe how good the kids are and how glad I'm able to know and show them around...

Geez... Not sure whether this is good or bad but I am missing the kids already!! Think I should really have my own soon... But again, mine might turn out to be little terrors and nowhere like any of them...

*ShrugS* At least I am quite sure lil Arthurs and Arthurinas will look GORGEOUS too anywayz! Wahahahahhahahahhahaha............ (You can't win the thickness of my skin! Haha...) =D

Oh, and Erkunden means Explore in German. Little Erkunden Singapore= Little Explorers Singapore! This is where I demonstrate my roots of chapalang language call Germlish... Nice right?! Lolx!! =P

In case you are wondering, I am using Muvee Pixie (Free 15days trial) to complete this project. I am quite impressed by the super ease of use and intuitive results of it I must say! Very proud of this video that I did... Very tempted to buy the program as well! Heh... Very hard to make me wanna pay for something that I can easily download one siah... =P

One Year Later...

Good morning to the World!!! It's 26 August 2010, exactly ONE year after my last post! Been super busy (ok, plus lazy) and being the "perfectionist" Virgo (all in the wrong places somehow), I've wanted to choose a good date to REVIVE my blog. And this is IT. The date seems good enough for me to continue finally! Hope I can keep the momentum going for a longer time this time round...

So much had happened, so much had changed after one whole year... Hope things are going for the better for everyone that is reading this! Let's "grow" together in the many more years to come!!

The Proposal

Went to watch The Proposal for a mini treat after I FINALLY submitted my PDCE biz proposal. I am so hoping it wun come back to me again. I am having nightmares after facing it for close to 8months! Ever since my application for the MICA funding!

Anywayz, back to the movie! It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!!

Definitely one of the must watch of the year!

Even though the main story of a secretary (Ryan Reynolds) falling in love with a crazy boss (Sandra Bullock) over a weekend is a lil far fetched for me, but the hilarious yet clever plot fully make up for it.

The drop dead gorgeous main casts alone is worth spending your money on. Oh, and did I mentioned the ultra cute white fluffy puppy in the show? I wanna get one of those! Still can't figure whether it is a Jap Spitz or a American Eskimo dog.

Acting is superb, cinematography is great and the soundtracks are just divine. Lots of love, fun and laughter. Bring your partners but leave the kids at home this time though... Too much skin is being exposed. Read: Sandra- naked except for her hands in front of her boobs and a tiny towel covering down under. Ryan- totally naked and stuck to bare bodied Sandra. Eye feast for adults but might be uncomfortable for parents who wants to leave the discussion of body anatomies with your 4yr olds till a few years later.

Catch it. No regrets! =)

Was invited to the Gala Premiere of Jack Neo's lateset movie "Where Got Ghost?" as I was conducting a spooky tour with API for the movie promotion. I was the Guides-in-charge that night and thank goodness, I have an army of very very capable guides that did a super great job! Kudos to Javier, Shaney, Tiger, Serene, Molemole, and of course my partner SBG! I am so proud of you guys! Thank you for making my job so much simpler! And of course, the success goes to everyone who had worked really hard for this massive event together! Good work Sparky as the overall IC! =)

Happy 44th Birthday Singapore! Nope, no NDP tickets this yr, but we had a blast anyway! Got some of my closest friends with me to put up a potluck picnic to celebrate Singapore's birthday together!

Was at Esplanade since 1.45pm to CHOP good place with Mr Lim and ZaiZai... Sun was blazing hot but the spirit of National Day in the air is everything I need to keep me going!

Terri, Don, Siti, Abang (Iman), and GB join us subsequently and while waiting for the parade to start, we started to go old school with games such as Old Maid, Donkey, Snap and Happy Family! We also had a great round of Taboo!

We also had a BIG Yam Seng with Vitasoy (that sent everyone around us STARING our way)!

Oh, and did I mention that I am the one that made (the icing) and decorated the gorgeous birthday cakes for Singapore's 44th Birthday? Haha... That is the next best thing to the fireworks that night!

I so hate Princess for the emailer promotion coz I think my face look rounder than ever halfway through gorging on fondue, cakes, pies, cream puffs and ice cream!

Sometimes, I really wonder whether I get fat instantly! I was browsing through the pictures and realised that my face grew rounder and rounder by every picture I take! Those pics that you see above are of course the more "front" ones.. The ones that I took later really cannot be displayed...

But for the price that we paid, this is really a very good dessert buffet to try once in a lifetime! I prob will go back again, but it definitely wun be soon... And there must be the one-for-one promotion again coz I seriouly dun think one can eat 20++ bucks worth of desserts over there!

Up- The Best Disney Flick of the Year!

Just as I thought that Disney is going downhill especially with the complete trashy "The Race to Witch Mountain" (I was totally disappointed with that show), UP came in and boy did it save the day!

It is such a wonderful WonderfuL, BeautifuL, SweeT like mad show that made me left the cold downtown east cinema with a warm heart.

This is definitely not a conventional kid-pleaser show. Up is a film that is full of real life scenarios and underlying meanings. Yes, children can watch it for the plain fun animation, and adults can find lots of scenes very close to the heart.

Storyline is tight and great. Animation is Perfect! So perfect that even when it is only cartoon, I cringed during the high altitude scene! Especially the parts involving falling and dangling actions. Ok, I admit that I am a lil acrophobic (just learnt this new word for height phobia from Google)! But it is THAT life-like!

What else can I say? Bring the kids there to learn about bravery, responsibility and perseverance. And bring your special someone there to learn love, principles and life!

Well, Arthur is a 101% Disney Fan, so dun take it from me! Go check it out yourself! You will thank me for this recommendation! =)

G.I. Joe- The Rise of Cobra

Ok, many of you might find it weird about the previous GI Joe post, coz Arthur is soooo NOT a action fan! But I posted it coz I wanted to win the preview tickets.. In the end I didn't but oh well...

Anyway, Mr Lim is a total Action guy and thus we ended up in the theatre for the show!

I must say that this is one rare action flick that blew me away! I like the twists of the stories, the subtle love plot and the amazing (though violent) effect of the show!

So if an anti-violent, bored-by-brainless-action person who dun even know about G.I. Joe in the first place like Arty enjoys it, I am sure you will too! Go catch it! Definitely worth your ticket price! =)

Random Stuff In CRAZY Times

Amidst my crazy days now with projects. assignments, competitions, business plans (MULTIPLE) all due, I did some pretty random stuff...

My new bed frame finally arrives after close to a month of waiting and months of sleeping with the mattress on the floor... (My last one broke and at first I tot it was quite ZEN to have the mattress on the floor.. Until I start to have backaches!)

The Hush Puppies Dreamlinen 420 Threadcount Bed Sheet (as shown in pic) that I SpeciaLLY got from Mustafa to "welcome" my new frame was really disappointing though... Totally overrated! I got even madder when the size dun even fit the super-single bed snugly! More like a sheet designed for a middle size btn Super single and Queen! It is a FITTED SHEET for goodness sake! Trust me to pay so much extra for the brand, tc and "Dreamlinen" range... It is seriously not much difference from the regulars.. Even my FAV Mickey sheet is more comfortable!! Haiz... Kena cheated...

Got a craving for egg tarts the day before and decided to make some myself by following a Youtube video...

The custard taste great! The skin was quite tasteless though...

Dun have to follow the recipe exactly.. Let me know if anyone wanna make. I had modified the recipe and make another batch again yesterday. The skin taste way better! Yum!!

Oh, and the pink ones you see are Strawberry Egg Tarts! I just replaced regular milk with strawberry milk coz it was on sale... Heee... The results: Berry Yummy Pink Tarts!! =P

Finally got a whole new set of WHITE dishes that I wanted for the longest time from Ikea!
Decided to do a little fine-dining styled dinner for my family! Twee Bak was on offer that day at Giant and there you go: Crispy Pork on Bed of Rosti with Roasted Carrots.

And this is by far the most random thing I did! (23rd July 2009)

My Parents woke me up really early: 9.45am (Ok, not THAT early but I slept at 5am last night coz was trying to complete my project) to just to go Pulau Ubin!!!

My dad wanna visit the Tua Pek Gong temple there and thus, everyone who were at home were mobilised...

Not that I mind coz I love the great air and greeneries of Ubin, and I am actually quite keen to go back to the temple that we used to frequent back in my poly days... But I am simply TOOOOOOOO BUSY!! Ahhh... I need a break.... Desperately....

And over there, we went to another new temple that was introduced by my dad's friend's wife.. She claimed that the fortune teller there is like super "ZHUN" and asked us to go too!

Heee.. I am quite a sucker for fortune telling! Too bad I can't remember my birth time.. So have to go another time...

I intend to go with fellow 同志s： Alex and Terri!

One nice thing about the place is that they dun overcharge, only $12 to 批八字(life analysis). And for those really poor folks who cannot even afford that amount but need guidance, they can pay any amount they can... Not forceful about the money at all.. That is a nice change to this ultra monetary society ehz?

Arthur loves taking pictures! Especially those that I look good in. So this is my latest set of gorgeous pictures!

We somehow resembles the lil kid couple from Precious Moments... Must be our hair and that innocent white themed look.

And NOPE, I am definitely NOT married. Not even remotely gonna.. yet... Haha.. The female lead in this pictures is none other than my best bimbo poly mate TANG MENG LAI! *TaaDah!*

We spent the whole day with the team of great people from Photo Terrain at various interesting outdoors of Singapore to get these amazing shots done. And they are gonna use it for their new studio which is opening soon!

Keke.. Really really fun finally being a model of the day! A lil part of my fantasy finally came true! And even more so when your partner is someone whom u have known for years and is able to crap through the day with you admist relentless pranks and hilarious jokes!

Of course, a definite bonus is that she is pretty! Well, pretty PRETTY and pretty SILLY too... If you know what I mean! (Think: Bimbo) Hahaha... *Evil GrinZ*

Woke up exceptionally early (0750HRS) today coz my Auntie is picking us up for this closed-door (invites only) airport staff Luxury Sale @ T3. Thank goodness we went there just right after the door opened if not we would have got a long long queue to get in line to.

Gave my mum $1000 budget to choose whatever she wants but in the end, we both ended up with nothing coz the Luxury items, though at least 40%-70% off, are still really expensive! Imagine brands like Hugo Boss, Fendi, Coach, Ferragamo, Bally, Tods, Jimmy Choo, and handbags that easily cost $6000 and even 60% off it still overshot my $1000 budget! And a T-shirt from Hugo cost like $350.. Something I WON'T pay for even if it is another 50% off!! Hahahaa... I am just so NOT used to the price tags of such luxury goods...

Afterwhich, my cousin then brought us to the Royal Sporting House Sale and I so went crazy as you can see.. The only setback though is the crowd (super crowded even though it was raining and the factory is not excatly that accessible), and Queue (we queued for 1HR 15MINS to PAY!!)
But again, only really good sales can draw this kinda crowd and I think its worth it... Ahhh.. I feel like going down again!! Dun feel right just buying 1 pair of Diesel when the gorgeous shoes cost only $39 (most designs!!!) Wahahahahahahaha..... =P

Spent a great day out with Princess, Charmaine and Keiren at the Science Centre. It had been ages since I’ve been there and this place never fails to amaze and educate me. Hmmm... I wonder why I complain when my teachers always brought us there when I was young. We also managed to catch the special Magic exhibition. Haaa... Those were the days man... I remembered when I was in secondary school, I used to “adopt” little chicks from them. I will call up and ask if there are any unwanted chicks from the hatchery exhibit (chicks hatch right in front of visitors in this hatchery dome). I have picked up about 6-8 chicks before from them! Haha... Thank you Science Centre!

This magnificent looking complex officially went into operation on 16th Dec. Thus, being a bummer and M’sia fan I am, grabbed Alex, who happens to be on his block leave to pay this much debated building a visit the very next day on 17th Dec 2008.
Seriously, I was quite awed by the outlook of this grand architecture! I mean it is even comparable to Changi Airport!! And being in the second day of operation, this place is neat and spotless!
The highly talked about efficiency really needs a boost though. With a bigger building, I took a much longer time to clear through the channels even though the traffic was pretty light. I see no point and so many vehicle gantries when there are only 2 lanes for buses, cars and the in betweens! The jam is totally uncalled for. And the process of immigration clearance seems to take on a more “manual” approach. I was third in the queue but it seems forever before it’s my turn. Apart from the usual scanning of passport, now, they even manually key in your passport number, expiry, and even birth dates!
And another thing to commend is that the complex links directly with City Square. That feels so much safer than having to bypass all the old streets with the old complex. However, the neverending circling route that connects you to mall is a terribly strenuous walk!! It is a super super long road! I have no idea whether this is credited to poor planning, or crowd management strategy. I just think about the elderly who have difficulties in walking, and the Malaysians or Singaporeans who have to travel through this route everyday!!! Try it out and you will know what I mean.All in all, definitely a very successful work of art, but desperately in need of improvements for humanity sake.

I remembered screaming "Happy 2009!!" on my way to Genting and now is already 12 March 2009!! Almost felt that time had passed me by and left me behind... Alright, I shall be a good boi and continue my blog from here... Really dun wanna be Mr 3 Minutes (San Fen Zhong Re Du- As per Princess Fel) this time so that I will have my life to read after I grow old... Heee... And for thoes waiting, sorry for such a long wait! Hope you will happen to chance on the fact that I continued.... First, lets start off with my various gatherings and outings.... Sec Sch mates + Princess to JB Aeon JUSCO and the new TESCO (right beside Aeon) Finally a TESCO is up within convenient distance. The nearest TESCO that I used to go before this JB one would have to be Malacca. Being a grocery shopaholic, this hypermart is heaven to me! 6: Summer, Winter, Spring, Autumn, simply different sodas with a scoop of ice cream! Haha.. Clever way to market floats. Pretty for the camera too!

Geez... Spent the last 3 hours drafting a 6pages worth of blog to depict my december disappearence however, the time taken for uploading of pictures almost kill me!!! I am going to meet Princess for the New Year Eve's Dinner at her church and I am gonna be late....

After the dinner, I will be heading straight to Genting as well with Princess, Alex, GB, Don and Terri!!! So really cannot afford to wait anymore... Promise to copy and paste my entries together with the pictures by 5th Jan 2009 (I'll be back on 4th)...

Yup, so just within hours we will be stepping into 2009. A brand new year awaits for us, as we leave 2008 into our life journal...

Time just flew nowadays... Just realised that I had been away for slightly more than a mth already! Nope, I am not overseas (at least not most of the time), just that I am very much booked throughout the whole of December! Didn’t even know how I get through it but I did! Hahaha... and as you can see later on, I am not exactly busy with anything totally decent as per se, just loads of gatherings and catch up with precious ppl in my life...
So yup, December to me is a month where I get to meet and catch up with ppl who are close to me that we have lil time for each other for the past 11mths....
As the footsteps of 2009 creeps nearer, I am determined to finally sit down, and blog thru my whole mth of Dec as much as possible, with pictures to tell... So bear with me for this whole mth’s worth of stories and more shared journeys with my family and friends...
Oh... And did I mentioned that I have finally completed my proposal and sent it in?? I am so excited about that. If my business idea gets approved, I am finally gonna be my very own boss!!! Wish me luck!!! *Fingers and Toes crossed*

Said goodbye to my single, largest plush toy Mr Mickey of my life... Walked past the charity plush toys collection area at Suntec City and decided to take this chance to clear out my clutter. Out of the 7000 over plush toys they collected this year, I can safely say at least 30 are from me! Hahahaha... I hope the kids will like them as much as I adored them before they grew to be my clutter... And friends, as much as I love soft toys, STOP buying them for me already!

I’m finally done with my biggest obsession lately... Xiao Niang Re (Little Nonya). Ahhh... I hate the feeling of a soap opera ending. I so want MORE of it!!! Now I no longer have to visit the mobtv link twice a day to check whether the latest sneak previews are uploaded. For those who haven’t seen the finale, dun expect too much. It is a pretty nice, sweet and whole ending, but not good enough I think to this rare fantastic local serial... Or maybe, I just dun want it to end... =P

Just back from my satisfying late night dinner at Bedok famous soupy Ba Chor Mee and received the bad news from my bro that the Singaporean Hostage in Mumbai- Ms Lo is found dead at 9.35pm...

Ahhh... Though she is nobody to me, but I instantly felt a strange deep pierce in my heart... Was so hopful when PM Lee announced that Singapore will do whatever it takes to make sure she comes back safely... She is only 28, a lawyer no less. With a bright future ahead and just got married last yr... It is sooooo unfair that she had to leave in fear at this prime time of her life...

I guess it strikes a chord badly coz I know the feeling of being alone in a hotel room in a remote place faraway from home.. I can only imagine how terrified and helpless I will feel... I am glad that I stopped flying... But this can happen to anyone, any place, anytime...

Terrorism is so HATEFUL. I know you guys need to send out messages or complete ur missions... But cant you use any better ways other than cruel killings and destructions?

My heart goes out to the affected family... I am shaken by the news... Imagine the utmost confusion and desperation they must be feeling now... Sighz...

The world is in need of healing... Love is the only way...

It's scary how time flies even when I am doing nothing much at all! One whole set of weekdays simply passed me my from the last time I update this blog! What have I been doing the whole week??? Hmmmm... Let me think...

Mon:

Nothing for the whole day... (apart from my fruitless attempts to pack up my room and catching the my Shi Xiong Di (The Ten Brothers) Drama Series on DVD. At night was down for an API (Asia Paranormal Investigators) meeting with the ppl from SHINE. Yupz, and it is also the day where I am official part of the API Family! Hurray! Hopefully I can deliver what I planned to...

Tue:

Watched more DVDs (I wanna complete the serial)...Library with Mummy to return library books at CompassPoint... Borrowed more books... Ooh... And hogged 24PACKETS (1 Litre) of Dutchlady UHT milk home!! Cold Storage selling them off at $1.90, BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!!! Hahaha.. How can a milk boi like me resist?!! But to think of it... The offer is only coz they need to buy back consumers' trust after the melamine scare... Hmmmm... Not that I care! They are simply delicious!!! Just that my arms almost broke when I carried them all the way home... Really in need of some serious calcium! Wahhahahaha.... Oh, and below is a picture of the new LCD TV I bought for my parents... Looks nice in the living room hor!

I finally finished the WHOLE 20 Episode serial!! Heee... Nice show... But the ending abit the not up to my expectation... Oh WellZ.. 20hrs of my life slipped me by... Went Tamp Giant with mum at night for another round of groccery shopping! Need to prepare my ingredients for creep picnic the next day... Went to peek at the price of the Dutchlady milk there: $1.90 each. NO one for one!! Yippy!!!!! The slog from Cold Storage was worth it! Hahahahaha....

Thur:

Woke up early to prepare for my cooking... Cooked enough for family's lunch too... Just that my dad and youngest bro not really veg person... They are SICK of my okonmiyakis! Hahaha.. Even though this attempt was much better than the previous one! My auntie came over and sampled and say I can open a shop to sell!! Heeeeee..... Of course I paiseh then say "no lah... long way to go..." but in my heart, I'm like "ahem, I KNOW THAT ALREADY!!!" Wahahahahahahahaha.... I know I know... THICK skin... That's me!! =P
I intend the picnic to be a 3 course one, so I made "Italian fused Japanese Sweet Potatoe Mousse Canape" for appetiser! It looks great! Check it out! And ending the meal with light Japanese cheesecake coz I reckon we will be too full after the enormous okonomiyaki..

The Creepy Pinic was indeed CREEPILY FUN!! First, I met Sparky at Buangkok MRT Station. From there, we took a short bus ride to the LAST REMAINING Kampung in Singapore which is situated in the middle of nowhere on Buangkok Green... Cool place... Very serene.. Not creepy at all.. And the few villagers we met were very friendly... It's almost as thou we travelled 30yrs back to the old Singapore... Where the Kampung Spirit still exsits... Where your door can be made of light wood and u are not afraid that ppl will break into... Love that place! We had our picnic dinner there before we moved on to the creepier night...

....Lim Chu Kang Cemetery..... Thank goodness that Alex offered to pick us up and join us on our cemetery tour on his Tuscon... I was seriously a *hi*ken over there.... Aargh.. Hate to admit it, but I was scared... I was the one who wanted a really creepy one, but one I reached there, the atmosphere totally overwhelmed me... I felt sooooo much like a intruder! It wasn't my first time there in the afterdark hours, but never JUST 3 person!!

We walked around the Christian Cemetry first... Saw the oldest and prob the first few Christian tombs of the cemetry... And there was this one with 2holes that extend way below into the grave........ AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH.... Sparky asked whether I would like to look into it... (Heart: WHAAT THEEE H***) But of coz I politely declined... *Rolled EyES* (PS: Those that are laughing at me now, you have to go to feel how scary it is...... bleah...)

Then comes the muslim cemetry... LAGI scary!! Luckily no one really wanna get down the car anyway... Phew....

Hindu Cemetry... Here, we get down because Sparky wanted to show us a tree that is wrapped in red cloth.... Urban legends says that ppl pray to the Indian Warrior Goddess Kalli at the special tree... By the way, Kalli happens to be the goddess that Adrian Lim (the TPY child killer) prayed to at home. And becoz Kalli is a really fierce goddess, no one prays to it at home!!! Anyway, ask me if u wanna know this cool scary story about Goddess Kalli, Adrian Lim and the Arrest... Very interesting tales from Sparky... We DID NOT manage to find that tree thou... Strange coz there was only 2plots of burial grounds for the Hindus (most Hindus believe in cremation), and the tombs are very sparsed out... Finding anything should be relatively easy.. No fate bah... Haaaaa... But we saw this playhouse-looking tomb of what looks like an infant grave... The huge playhouse over the tiny tomb makes it look so lonely... So isolated yet protected... Can feel the sinister mixture of love and obscene grieve of the parents that looked forward to the child for 9mths, yet have to say goodbye just shortly after...

We ended our night at the CREEPIEST ground of all.... The Chinese Cemetery... And the "FRESH" ones that is... OMG!!!!!!!!!!! *Rolled Eyes* They were still talking about how can we see the dunno what "whisp" thing... (According to BOTH of them, when the body starts to decompose, a gas will be produced. When the gas escapes outta the soil and interacts with the atmosphere, we can literally SEE small blue glowing gas balls!!!!!! Ahhhhh.... I feel like FAINTING!!!! Yes, I wanna go to cemetery to experience the peace and quiet and maybe a bit of eerieness... But NOT SEE anything!!! Gosh... What if we BREATH in any of those gas?!!!!

Anyone who knows me would know how terrified of "dead" stuff... I am even afraid of the pets that died in my house (ok, except small fishes and insects)... Let alone dead HUMAN!! Gasp!

And apparently there are no tombs above the freshly buried... YIKESS!! I swear I my heart was in my mouth when I saw the loose soils on the well defined 2M X 1M plots... Thank goodness we didnt have our picnic there.... Imagine a hand creeping out from below and ask for food??!! *Instant FaintX Picture* EEEEeeeeekkkksss.... That was seriously seriously one scary place I dun really wanna be again next time...

Actually, part of the reason why we are there at the "fresh" area is because we wanted to catch the 4D punters in action. Which, we didnt managed to find thou... It is said that the freshly buried souls are the best to ask for the winning numbers, coz of the grievences... But I am beginning to think that you need good guts for that! And no wonder the punters always travelled in grps of 10-15... Hahahaha...

Well, thats about it for my past week... Pathetic... I know... So many things to complete but not even half way through.. I need my motivation!!!!! Ooh... And I just finished downloading Little Nonya from MOBTV all the way to ESP 7! Yay!! I am soooo in love with the show! Time to chase another serial! Oops! =>.<=

My Sunday on 23 Nov 2008...

After bagging about 3.5hrs of sleep, my Sunday begins!

My cousin picked me up at 9.30am for a yummy prata bfast, followed by the first photoshoot session for Ministry of Games (a wholesome boardgame empire that my cousin is building up)! Look out for it!!

The stars of the day were my 2 gorgeous Nieces! Looks like the good-looking genes are definitely in our family line!! Kekeke...

Just look at their happy faces!! I wanna be a KID again!!!

After the photoshoot around noon, I planned to pop to City Hall to catch the Anime Fest cosplay in action (yup, I am a budding cosplay enthusiast too!). However, Mr Alex decided to wake up from his hibernation and decided to go to the west area to spend a different Sunday which was fine by me since I was at AMK at the time he call... Very near his place...

Went to the latest mall in town: West Coast Plaza... Felt abit cheated coz it is really less than half done up. We went all the way there coz of all the great posters about it on the trains.. But nonetheless, I like the structure and the overall building layout. Definitely more spacious and brighter than her predecessor, the "late" Ginza Plaza. I am looking forward for it to be fully completed though.. Can't wait to see the water features and the full range of stores!

Had lunch ard WCP area and decided to proceed down to Jurong Point for a movie... Haaa... And what a total contrast between WCP and JP!! JP is as usual crowded with buzzing shops and endless shoppings to do! Luckily I am in my "de-cluttering" stage of my life... If not I will surely end up with a few more pieces of treasured "clutter" (clothes, bags, toys...) as there are sales going on everywhere!!! Kekeke...

Oh, and below is my personal review of Beverly Hills Chihuahua:

This is a typical "feel-good" movie from Disney. Personified and adorable Chihuahuas (though as a doglover, I am not particularly a fan of Chihuahuas) depicts the real-life, not necessary kind world of humankind... It cleverly shows the gap between the rich and the poor, races, good and evil, even some moral values...

Credit also goes to the prodution team that predicts the possible Chihuahua craze after the movie and added a note asking viewers to be prepared to be life owners of any pets and consider thoroughly before making a wise choice. Very responsible. =)

Plots are rather heartwarming but predictable. Humors inserts are pretty good, with a fair bit of adult slapsticks to entertain the grownups that brought the kids in...

All in all worth watching on a weekday, or just wait for the DVD! =P

Haaa... 1.48am... Finally I can go grab some slp before 2am after all these late nights recently...

I am feeling so Xin Fu now... Just had my closest friends from 3 different stages (sec, poly, recent) of my life bump heads and enjoyed a really fun foodie Saturday together!

Started off with GB aka Guobao aka Baobao, Terri aka Ms Yeong aka Aries, Don aka Long Di (sec mates) and myself at Big Eat Out event at the Peranakan Museum hosted by the ppl from Hungrygowhere.com. Even though it was a warm day, the atmosphere at the event was spirited! The tentage and food area were filled with enthusiastic foodies everywhere.

A kind macho soul from ieatishootipost.sg helped us take this GORGEOUS grp pic! Love the lighting and framing! Notice that we are all wearing white top and blue jeans?? =P (From Left: Terri, Me, Don, GB)

Highlight of the day was the gathering of famous Superstar Stalls of Singapore's yesteryears traditional food at the carpark area just beside the museum. Being typical Singaporeans, we quickly queued up for the Poh Piah coz it had the longest queue after we bought our coupons...

Chicken BuaKeluak: Erm... Sorry but I am disappointed with this dish. Had seen this on tv and wanted to try it for the longest time... was soooo excited when I saw it there and even bought a second set of coupons coz this with rice cost 7bucks... However, first experience failed coz the dish is quite cold, not as tasty as it looks and the chicken is overcooked... Sigh... -_-

After eating, Sparky aka Xiao Wang Zi aka CM (My newfound Friend- Recent) joined us after his lunch for the Peranakan Museum tour at 3pm. The tour was really interesting as we get to know the intriguing and lavish way of life of the Peranakans!

Tour took about 1plus hour, and after that, Princess (Felicia, Poly & Life Bestie) decided to join us after work! Terri and Don left first for the Anime Fair at Suntec... By that time, Sparky (Oh, did I mentioned that he was the one that tell me about the event in the first place!) cannot resist but sample some morsels from the retro star stalls as well.. Afterwhich, we gave Princess a private tour of the museum with whatever memory of the tour we had earlier! (Believe me, we didn't managed to memorise many details... Most are hantam "bullsh*ting" by yours truly!! Muahahahaha...)

After meeting with the sulky-faced Terri (ok, she had waited quite some time for us coz we can NEVER seem to take enuf pictures at the museum... kekeke... sorry gal...), there comes our usual "forever" to decide on WHERE to eat!! Haaaa.... After miles of walking (ok, I am exaggerating here), and debates on "Here! There! Millenia! Novena?!!", we decided on Suntec's Joakim buffet since none of us have been there.

Haaa... Was on our way back to Suntec when this great shirt caught my eye! Gotta have it if its below $30... Dream ON! Kekekeke...

I have to say that the buffet was not bad at all for the price we pay. Location and food quality were way ABOVE average.

Annalakshmi India Veg Restaurant.. My New Found and Loved Indian Veg Restaurant...

Went back to Annalakshmi Indian Veg Restaurant with Alex on Friday for lunch...

It was a buffet setting and no ala-carte available... Ahhh.. So disappointing coz was soooo craving for the THE BEST indian veg dishes I ever had! Checked out Sparky's post for my first trip there with him on Wed... The food is so fabulous that I already missed them 2hrs after I had them! LOL! That's why I can't wait to drag Alex there for a 2nd round just 2 days after...

The lunch was actually not bad... Just normal good ind veg food I supposed.. Not as awesome as the ala-cartes.

Service was as FUN thou coz as the staff are mostly volunteers, they are not particularly "seasoned" servers. All they wanted to do was to serve from their heart and that's excatly what they did...

Had a few really young teenager gals serving us that afternoon. The occassional giggles and "Oops, sorry!" are probably what we CANNOT tolerate in regular restaurants, but in there, seems exceptionally amiable...

Still very awed by the quality and taste of the food there nevertheless... I wished I had known this place earlier as this is definitely gonna be my first choice for indian veg in future. And even though the cooks and kitchen helpers are volunteers as well, I can really taste the effort they put in to make the dishes great.

Or maybe the very reason is BECAUSE they aren't working for the money, that's why one can truly taste the love, passion, soul and art of the food... *SmileZ*

Such interesting operation culture and zest that believes in caring and providing to the world at the same time trust the better instincts of humankind to know how to give back... I truly hope that this restaurant can continue to operate with profits (all that goes into developing of Indian cultural activities and charity) and flourish to prove that money is NOT the key to everything. Heart is.

That said, I wish that all Singaporeans that have the opportunity to visit will let go of that "KIASU" mentality for a while, deeply indulge in the soulful cuisine, and "give" (pay) appropriately to what you had enjoyed...

Impromptu BBQ in Singapore at 1am? No Problem!

Wheee... It is 4am now and I just came back from my mini bbq supper!

Was doing my usual late night shopping at Mustafa with Alex when we came across some portable bbq grill set. As Mr Alex haven't got his dinner yet, the craving of bbq food suddenly rush into his head.

Being the ultimate impromptu and impulsive person I am, I immediately do a quick mental calculation of the cost (I am impulsive but money wise too k!), and realised that we can do it within the budget of our dinner at Shin Kushiya last weekend!

Total spending: $63 (But there's the grill set, untensils, and plenty of leftovers for MORE bbqs! Soooooo Worth It!!)

Thus, we started to gather all our essential items from the various levels of the mall that we are sooooo familiar with! And SERIOUSLY, there is NOTHING that Mustafa, our beloved 24hr shopping haven in Singapore do not carry! They simply have everything that we need to indulge in a last min bbq supper impulsion.

This is what we got:

Premium Charcoal (this is Grrrrreat stuff! The most effortless, light-up-by-itself charcoal! I was amazed... Just a lighter and you get perfect glowing heating pad), sponge and Magic Clean for cleaning, satay sticks, disposable chopsticks and plates, bbq tong set...

Food... (Turkey bacon, cheese tofu, pastrami, mushroom balls, ramliy patties, chicken bites), yum Yum YUM!!!

... n Of Course and the $15.90 Portable grill too!

So after equipping ourselves with all that we need, we set off to East Coast Park for our little party!

It came out decently well alright! Kekeke... For a last minute, no-frills bbq that is! All you need is a lil creativity, some cash, a car, a good weather and Mustafa!!

Today is the official day when my parents wedded 25 years ago! Haaa... And to think I am already 24! How time flies!! Keke... And this also confirms I am not a shotgun baby! LOL!

Me and my dear Mummy and Daddy! Who do I look like more? =P

Too bad my TV gift can’t arrive in time today coz the next earliest delivery is on Friday... So looking forward to it and my endless hours of DVD movies and serials... Hahaha...

Went to Sakura for a lovely celebratory lunch with my whole family then shop around the newly refurbished Downtown East and E! Hub.

Just not very satisfied with the attitude of counter and welcome staff. Both are a tad abrupt and rude. But the food was not bad this time...

There was a feeling of nostalgia amidst the cheerful Christmas decorations decked up everywhere... It was such a long time since the whole family just hamg out together like this... I miss the good old days... Poor, but we have each other all the time... With us growing up and having our own individual life, such excursions are rare... Really treasure it. Hope it wouldn’t be long till the next one!!

Woke up at 6am coz promised to help out Buddy (Juzzz) at a corporate family day to mend his stall. It had been sooooooo long ago since I woke up before the sun shines... The cool morning air is so incredibly refreshing that I feel like waking up early everyday!!

Tending the stall was quite a fun experience!! So reminds me of school days where I often operates a winning stall during various carnivals. Furthermore, I am such a toy person thus it was pure JOY to have a stall full of the CUTEST ones in town!! The crowd was not too good though... If not I am sure the sales will be much better!!

Food Safari Home Electronics Fair@ Suntec

Went down to the fair really early coz I wanna grab the ultra cheap LCD TV for my parents wedding anniversary... Also coz the current TV in the living room is like going to DIE soon lah...

Ahhh... But missed most of it coz u know what a late boi I can be.. Keke... But I was still there before 12! It opens at 11am!! Dun even know whether the deals really exist... Got so many people buy LCD TVs meh?! LOL! I know I know.. I am the sour grape...

Anywayz, that would b e a blessing in disguise. Coz I was walking around and I caught this Sharp Aquos 42” LCD TV hourly promotion. At first its price tag was $2399. I was sceptical about how low the price can be... (By the way, it was held in a snatch bid kinda setting, only 5 sets for the first 5 person that rises up their hands.) When they turn the price over, I almost fainted!! It is only going at $1199!!! An amazing whole $1200 off!!! I instinctively raised up my hand and did a little jump and alas! I was one of the lucky 5... Due to the demand, another 5 sets was released but I dun care... Coz I am one of the FIRST 5!! Hahaha... But seriously that was CHEAP!!! $1199 includes the 42” HD Ready Sharp Aquos (Made in Japan, VERY Atas!! Haha..), installation, delivery and a $30 voucher coz I paid with my POSB Everyday Card! Super cool deal! Shaved off at least $300 off my budget!! **HAPPY**

And this is the card (ok, just the envelope) that I drawn to go along with the gift for my parents’ 25th Silver Wedding Anniversary... Geez... Marriage that sees ¼ of a Century... I wonder whether I can ever last that long in any relationship... Though not all smooth sailing, honey and dreamy, they managed to pull it through...

Heee... A bit like Primary School Standard but its the thoughts that counts!

After the fair, I managed to met up with Sparky. It was the actual day of his birthday and I made him the Mango Vodka Sparkling Ribena that I “toasted” to him online (See previous post pic).

It was fun to see him walk wobbly after that! My concoction is surely potent alright!! Heeee.... We went over to play some arcade games and that drunk boi managed to beat me at the Guitar Hero with PERFECT score a couple of times!!! SO irritating...

Went to watch Madagascar 2 with Alex at the new Filmgarde Cinema at Kallang LeisurePark at night...

It was a fantastically funny and touching animation. Disney had done it again and I like this better than the first one!! It is a journey of how genuine support of friends and families, with a hint of luck/ “unluck” fulfils wildest dreams. Especially touched by the Father and Son dialogue between Zuba and Alex (not MY Alex) when talking about being a REAL lion.

The way that Alex uses “his way” to save the day is also incredible. Almost like my own way of bringing some “bacon” home last time by being myself.... How I wish my dad is an alpha male too... A president or something... Hahaha...

All in all a delightful and heart-warming pre-weekend animation for all ages.

Sentosa Escapade!!

Alex drove me and Zai Zai to Sentosa for a day of sun tanning! I love having the fresh sunkissed look! Always wanted to be Mr Sunny and maybe can win in a impromptu pageant or something! Hahahaha... Either Mr Sunny or Mr Smile!

Should make my suntan sessions regular. Oh, and Zai Zai was really well behaved!! He even swam with me all the way over to the opposite island! And when he was cold and refused to swim anymore, he just guai guai go over to our belongings on the mat and wait for us patiently while we stay in the sea. He is soooo uber adorable!! Will so wanna bring him to the beach again soon!!

Haaaa... Just realised 2 days have past from my Tuesday resolutions...
Pretty much done everything I planned... Just some delays here and there due to rain...

A very Very sweet distraction right before I start my planned day!! Geez... This is my nephew... Everyone says that he looks like me when I was a baby... And I TOTALLY AGREE!!! Dun you think so? All dressed up and ready to go! I love this green Calvin Klein pullover!! Super NOT my size but I need to grab it anyway coz its CHEAP and most importantly GREEN!! Think only less than SGD 20 or something... From Macys in US.. =P

First Stop: K Lunch! It's nice being a loner sometimes... Going for KTV alone means I can sing LOUD, AWFUL and ANYTHING I want, ANYHOW I like to!! Yeah!! Lunch was disappointing though... It was supposed to be fish and chips but only the fish and edamame is edible... Fried maki is cold, fries are like drenched in salt. Ahhh... Somehow I forgot to eat my honey dew! Usually the lunch at Hougang Kbox is the best coz Sakura is the catering restaurant... Dunno what happen to this... Tsk.. tsk.. tsk...

Return my Library Books, Tick!

An exhausted but Satisfied look... Managed to swim 24 (return) laps to celebrate me being 24. Realised that I haven't really "tuned" in to being 24 yet. Never liked the digit 4. But know when it comes, it comes... So yup, dedicated 24 laps to it! Though it is much lesser than the 35 I used to do, but it had been soooooo long since I did proper swimming. So gimme some credit for it eh! Will train harder and get my my past stamina... Look out for the next waterbaby!! =)

My 2 neater looking babies!! (Left, Zai Zai/ Right, Baobei) Finally get to shower and shave them a little on Wed coz Tue rain... But after I towel them down, it starts to rain again!! Aargh... But luckily their fur shorter now.. So hairdryer managed to do a fair substitute.. =)

Erm... As for the proposal, I am proud to say that it had finally kick started! I just need to add in more convincing details for submission! Lastest next Wed. Promise. As for my room... From the pic with the dogs (yup, thats my room, not storeroom! haha...) you can prob tell that the progress is not too far yet... When will my clutter be cleared?!!! I wanna hold a GARAGE/ JUMBLE sale!!!!

But all in all did accomplished quite a fair bit of duties lah.. So feel rather good bout myself.. Will continue to work hard to arrange and excel in life!!! Yahoooooooo..... *BeamZ*

Yay!!

First trial to make Okonomiyaki (Japanese Pancake) and it was a yummy success!!

Wanted to clear my tons of food stuff that I gathered from so many prized trip to the various parts of Japan before they all go bad... Japan is still my fav country to visit so far and the best buy from there is definitely FOOD! And their DAISO is like only 100yen = SGD1.34! Better and MORE quality stuff but cheaper than Singapore!

Ahh... Still remember my ridiculously heavy and stuffed cargo bags even thou its usually just a one night stay.... Kekeke...

Anyhow, dun even know why I kept thinking that there were noodles in okonomiyaki and bought 2 packs of yellow noodles from Buangkok NTUC last nite. Until today when I was staring at the noodles and dunno what to do with them! Silly me... Haha.. Maybe cook yakisoba for dinner... =P

It had been a rather long Sunday..

Lunch at the new Buangkok estate area, Ikea (didn't get anything coz the crazy queue too long... Will go again in the weekdays...), Watched "On the Beat 3" on MobTV with Mum, cook dinner then East Coast Park, back to the 24Hrs NTUC at Buangkok (to get ingredients for lunch tmr.. yup, cooking again!)...

I am strangely not too tired however...

Had a restless night full of messy dreams after my cemetry tour. Kept hearing some creepy, sharp and weird lady cries at the back of my head. But most prob just tired and my brain still cannot settle down after all the adventure. I super missed those adorable chubby puppies!!! Hopefully can sleep better tonight though..

Anywayz, here's a yummy looking picture of the dinner I made! Not bad eh? Looks like I still got it! Hee... The prawns and fish chunks are so fresh today that they taste good with anything!!! Hungry yet? *EviL GrinZ* =P

It is 5am now...

Just came back from a splendid API (Asia Paranomal Investigators) tour to Bukit Brown Cemetry!

To be honest, it wasn't as creepy as I thought it would be. In fact, it reminds me of a religious 3am trip to Lim Chu Kang cemetry lots of years back... Far from eerie, the cemeteries at wee hours always seems to be full of “life”! Instead of feeling isolated or unwelcome, I tend to feel a kinda warmth surrounding me. The atmosphere was more to serene and peace than anything.

For those that are planning to go, be forewarn though that it is definitely a heart- pounding trip. Nope, not the definite meeting of our friends from the nether world, but more to the jungle trashing that is needed to reach the famous tombs that are covered with overgrowth. My ghost hunting trip literally becomes a workout trip! I’m feeling slimmer already! LOL!

Too bad the lighting is bad for photos... So no pics to show.

Strange as it seems, right after we visited the last tomb of the night, it suddenly started to rain super heavily!! There wasn’t even a warning of a drizzle of any kind! Even though Mr Charles (the tour guide cum founder of API) was commenting that the deads are trying to chase us home, I felt as though the refreshing rain symbolises a fond farewell that says: “nice to meet you!”

Haha... Really exciting to experience rain in the middle of a jungle setting. You hear the rain much earlier than you can feel it coz the trees above you gotta have their “drink” first! Something that everyone should try at least once in a lifetime.

A summary of what fascinates me:
· The trio bunch of furry chubby puppies that greeted us at House of the Dead. I am soooooo tempted to bring one home!!
· The sighting of the BIGGEST tomb in Singapore (possibly even Asia!)
· Witnessing the various Superstar tombs such as the brother of Tan Tock Seng, Boon Lay, Nee Soon, Chong Pang (Yup, they were all once living human!!)
· The unexpected revitalizing rain that will make me remember this wonderful night even more fondly...
